These Shoes Were Made For Walkin’
Is there such thing as having too many pairs of shoes? No. At least that’s what I tell my husband. Ba-dum-bum. Seriously, the problem is not with how many pairs of shoes you have but whether or not you have a place to keep all of them. Or should I say places.
Shoes can be split into two categories: grab-and-goes and decorate-my-toes. The grab-and-goes include those sneakers you wear to walk the dog, the flip flops you slip on to take out the trash, and the boots you wear when it rains. Put those on a shoe rack by the front door. The decorate-my-toes footwear includes shoes you give some thought when you’re choosing an outfit and twirling in front of a mirror. These are the shoes that belong in your a closet or bin wherever you get gussied up. I keep mine in my bedroom bench with storage under the seat.
I love my shoes, but I don’t need to see them all the minute I come home. There’s nothing like a mess to make me want to put on my running shoes and head right back out the door.
