Smile!
Like most professional organizers, I did not go to dental school. So obviously, you should check with your dentist before taking any of my advice when it comes to your dental hygiene.
As an organizer, I would love to be able to advise people to minimize bathroom counter clutter by keeping their toothbrush somewhere other than the counter. After all, there are some good-looking organizers that close up and hide your toothbrush. But a rudimentary Google search turns up many sites from qualified professionals that advise against any kind of closed container, including travel cases and medicine cabinets which trap moisture and encourage germs and bacteria to grow. Yuck! Many dentist sites claim the best position for toothbrushes is upright and separated from those that belong to other members of your household.
Keeping a space organized is not only about leaving things out of sight. It’s about everything having a place. So even a simple holder with a slot for each will do. If you use the works — toothpaste, mouthwash, floss — then each item should have a specific place nearby. Each time anyone walks into your bathroom. It’s all about everything having a specific, purposeful spot. Just like your teeth!
