Delete This Email!

I recently bought a beautiful blanket for my bedroom that I loved. But every time I look at it, I’m only reminded of the daily barrage of emails I receive from the company since I made the purchase. All of these marketing emails we receive anytime we buy anything online can create digital clutter that takes a toll on our stress level as well as our ability to focus.

You don’t need a professional organizer to clean out your inbox. Don’t go email by email. Search for the biggest culprits of mass emails. Open one and unsubscribe using the prompt at the bottom. Then delete the ones you don’t want en masse. (Be sure to look through the list to make sure the search didn’t include something you want to or need to keep). When you’re down to only emails you want to keep, make folders and file them away. Be very specific so you can find things easily AND so you have an exact place to put all future incoming emails.

You’ll be surprised how much of a rush you’ll get from watching the number on your inbox decrease 50 to 100 emails at a time! Notice how much calmer you feel when you open your clean inbox. Who’s to say that’s not the first step to peace on earth?
