Let There Be Light

Wouldn’t it be nice if everything we owned could be stacked neatly? Well, maybe that’s just something I think about… But can we just agree that some things are annoying to store because of their shape. Lightbulbs are at the top of that list! But there are ways to store them to make it easier.

A quick Amazon search will turn up cases that are specifically used for lightbulb storage. If that works for you, go for it. But the problem with many of them is that they are used for lightbulbs that are all the same size. Most households have lightbulbs of all shapes and sizes, which means that storage should accommodate all of them. But don’t give up! Proper storage will keep you from spending money on more lightbulbs every time you need one.

There’s nothing wrong with getting a good old-fashioned generic bin and using cardboard to separate the delicate items. Cardboard drawer dividers are widely available and keep individual lightbulbs safe from breaking. For an even more DIY approach, just cut old cardboard packaging to create the space you need for each lightbulb. For added measure, it always helps to put a small label, even a post-it note on each of the sections so you know which light each bulb belongs to. From there… let there be light!
