Steam Plunk
The dirty little secret about being a professional organizer that I fully admit to clients is that people could do this without me. There is a lot of advice out there (including, hopefully, this blog), about how to declutter and organize. And of course, the robots are getting better and better at helping our human brains to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
So why pay me to come help you organize instead of getting AI to give you step by step instructions and organize your house over a Netflix binge and a glass of Rosè?
The answer lies in something I know the approaching army of robots will never be able to provide: good old fashioned human connection. The fact is that many people who turn to my services have already tried many times to declutter and organize. But a big part of the problem is not just finding the time, but not losing steam in the process.
The real benefit I provide is to keep the process going when you’re feeling tired, not just from the physical work, but from the mental work. When you get stuck or overwhelmed in the process of making yet another decision about what to keep and what to get rid of, I’m there to ask questions, keep you on task or tell you to go take a break. And I’m there to make sure that you come back from your break when you’re refreshed and ready.
Only another human being can make sure that our four hour session is being used efficiently and that we are meeting all of our goals. After our session is a great time to to the robots to recommend the best show on Netflix to binge and Rosè to drink.
